About the Role
Knox Design Strategy is looking for a full-time UX/UI Designer with experience in user experience and user interface who will work closely with the Sr. UX/UI Designer on the design and development of compelling, user-focused, strategic and brand-relevant solutions that meet the client’s business goals and defined-strategies from project initiation through launch.
This candidate must be highly motivated, able to find joy and personal satisfaction in working in an entrepreneurial environment filled with opportunities. The candidate must be committed to timely completion of the best work possible that surpasses both client and team members’ expectations. Finally, the individual must be passionate about learning and having fun!
As an integral part of Knox Design Strategy’s team, the UX/UI Designer’s responsibilities include:
User Experience / User Interface Design (80%), creating compelling user-centered digital solutions based on the unique needs of specific users; developing creative concepts for client presentation and approval.
Conceptual Development, Design and Production (5%), developing and contributing to creative briefs and strategy reports, including participating in team brainstorming sessions.
Client and Project Management (10%), managing individual project timelines and client approvals, to ensure responsiveness and client satisfaction.
General Studio Responsibilities – Marketing & Administration (5%), participating in team meetings and contributing to thought-leadership and marketing efforts to advance professional development and studio goals.
Qualifications
2–3 years of solid design experience
Strong user-centered design abilities and a thorough understanding of UX/UI design for responsive websites, custom applications and/or intranets
UX research skills (e.g., the ability to identify users, their needs and requirements of the project prior to the user interface design)
Excellent typography skills
Strong creative thinking and conceptual skills
Unwavering attention to detail
Highly motivated, a self-starter
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience collaborating with developers (ability to code is a plus, but is not required)
Software & Technical Skills
Figma
Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
Basic Word & PowerPoint (Microsoft Office Suite)
Salary
$70,000–$90,000 based on experience.
