Knox Design Strategy is happy to announce that a new Senior UX/UI designer has joined our ranks. Carissa joined Knox in May 2024, and although she has pitched in on a variety of different projects, her main priority has been on Moxx, Knox Design Strategy’s latest technological offering. Moxx is a digital trial notebook that helps attorneys organize their case structure and streamline the litigation process. As one of its designers, Carissa works to eliminate any pain points for users. Her goal is that when attorneys use Moxx, they can save time and energy for what matters most. Working on Moxx brings together many of Carissa’s favorite aspects of the UX/UI design process: conducting research with attorneys to understand user needs, helping clients’ manage their data overwhelm, and collaborating with her Knox team members to find appropriate workflow solutions for the litigation process.
Since she joined Knox Design Strategy, Carissa has enjoyed exploring how law firms can safely incorporate AI into their litigation workflow process. Using AI “out of the box” presents multiple complexities and concerns around security and confidentiality. For law firms, this makes most AI offerings a dangerous gamble. However, many are still eager to harvest AI’s benefits while avoiding its legal pitfalls. With this dilemma in mind, Carissa has helped to build Moxx so that it incorporates AI tools in a completely internal way, meaning attorneys can trust that their sensitive information isn’t going anywhere.
Outside of work, Carissa is inspired by life in NYC, trying new recipes, and the world of fashion. She admires how clothing designers decide every detail with such particular care, and she strives to bring this same elegance and thoughtfulness to her UX/UI work. Knox Design Strategy is grateful for her expertise and her passion for beautiful, friction-free design. Welcome to the team, Carissa!
